Le Premier ministre haïtien conclut sa visite au Viêt Nam
(VNA - 18/12/2012) - Le Premier ministre haïtien Laurent Salvador Lamothe a quitté Ha Noi le 18 décembre, concluant avec succès sa visite officielle au Viet Nam à l'invitation du Premier ministre Nguyen Tan Dung.
Il s'agit de la première visite officielle de haut niveau au Viêt Nam d'un dirigeant de la république, et elle revêt une importance historique pour les relations bilatérales dans le contexte où les deux pays célèbrent le 15ᵉ anniversaire de l'établissement de leurs relations diplomatiques.
L'hôte et l'invité ont publié un communiqué commun sur la visite, dans lequel ils expriment leur satisfaction quant à l'évolution des relations et conviennent d'intensifier l'échange de visites de haut niveau afin de consolider davantage les relations d'amitié et de coopération entre les deux pays.
Les dirigeants ont affirmé leur détermination à consolider et à approfondir les relations dans les domaines politique, économique et culturel, et se sont mis d'accord sur les orientations et les mesures à prendre pour renforcer les relations et la coopération à l'avenir.
Ils ont également convenu d'intensifier la consultation et la coopération au sein des forums et des organisations internationales dont ils sont tous deux membres.
M. Lamothe a exprimé son soutien à la détermination des pays de la région à maintenir un environnement de paix et de stabilité et à régler les différends en mer de l'Est par des négociations pacifiques sur la base du droit international et de la convention des Nations unies de 1982 sur le droit de la mer.

Haitian Prime Minister concludes Viet Nam visit
This is the first official high-level visit to Viet Nam by a leader of the republic, and is of historical significance to the bilateral relations in the context that the two countries are celebrating the 15th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations.
Host and guest issued a joint communiqué on the visit, in which they expressed satisfaction at the development of the relations, and agreed to intensify the exchange of high-level visits aimed at further consolidating the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
The leaders affirmed their determination to further consolidate and deepen the relations in political, economic and cultural fields, and agreed on orientations and measures to strengthen the relations and cooperation in the time to come.
They also agreed to intensify the consultation and cooperation at international forums and organisations to which both of them are members.
Lamothe voiced his support to the determination of countries in the region to maintain an environment of peace and stability and to settle disputes in the East Sea through peaceful negotiations on the basis of international law and the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea.
